The odds of winning % and Current score as a running total will be adjusted at the end of each week and will go until December 7th. The total possible score a contender may get is 1000 by the end of the competition. A small amount of initial points have been awarded to each contender based exclusively on longevity of relationship with Dan. Remember that there are no losers here. We fucking win, and because you’re friends with Dan you win even harder, and you probably have a huge penis.
Patrick and Dan’s friendship started at the same time as Dan and TJ’s. Back in 2013, he met them through while theirĀ small startup called BioTrackTHC was bidding on the very first government cannabis traceability system contract. Dan didn’t want to meet Patrick and TJ, and they certainly didn’t want to meet Dan. However to appease BT’s CEO at the time, who was enamored by Dan’s brilliance and undeniable good looks, they all agreed so that the CEO would stop pestering the three of them. They were looking forward to immediately hating one another and making the meeting as brief as possible. Needless to say, that didn’t happen. That meeting in the conference room at Ramada Inn hotel in Lacey Washington went on for hours and they got along like they’d been close for years. The CEO tried to recruit Dan, but he said no. A couple of months later Dan got a promotion at the bank he’d been looking forward to, and after doing it for a couple of weeks he realized this wasn’t what he wanted to do with his life at 25. Despite making decent money, he wasn’t happy and wanted to shake things up. So he called that CEO and asked if that job offer was still valid, and the rest is history. Patrick later became the CEO of the company, and Dan helped usher the company to new heights and nearly a dozen new contracts and thousands of new commercial customers with his new friends. Dan refused titles for the longest time, but eventually Patrick and TJ tricked him into accepting a C-suit titles by begging him to join the board of directors, but stating it would look odd if he was on the board as a non C-suite employee but other leadership wasn’t considered. So he became the Chief Industry Officer. Later on as the company was acquired by some really douchey folks (affiliated with the tools who committed SEC fraud with the Trump Social merger recently if that paints a picture.), and was no longer the company they built together they separated from BT and started down different paths. They then formed a consulting company together and independently maintained their industry impact and relationships. Patrick also formed a mobile safari company in Botswana, and brought Dan and Jenny to Botswana in Africa in December 2019, weeks before the pandemic. Dan and Patrick work together on various projects and talk often of convincing TJ to join in a new venture to rebuild what became affectionately known as “The Holy Triumvirate.”
More story synopsis: Lobbying, taking a stand against corruption and helping the industry avoid implosion. Argentina, Colombia, Leadership retreat spawned by Dan deciding to drive 21 hours to Denver after work one day, and a lot of things that we actually can’t talk about in writing, but Patrick will have many fun stories involving their adventures.
